AMF has an excellent safety record. Our EMR for the current year is 0.69. This is largely a result of our highly successful, widely imitated Safety Bag Program. When an employee is hired, he/she is issued a "safety bag" containing the necessary personal equipment to keep him/her safe on the job. In addition, we regularly offer safety training courses to keep employee awareness high and accident rates low.

AMF Electric considers education to be an investment with unlimited dividends. Having been a member of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) since the formation of its St. Louis Chapter in 1985, AMF has taken full advantage of the IEC's excellent educational programs. IEC offers both a certified apprenticeship program and a journeyman continuing education program. Over the last 15 years AMF has educated, and continues to educate its employees to remain on the cutting edge of the electrical industry. Currently 85% of our employees have graduated or are enrolled in an IEC educational program, and three of our present employees have also become instructors for the IEC Apprenticeship program.
In addition to formal apprenticeship/journeyman classes, AMF keeps its employees current with the latest NEC code updates by enrolling them in classes offered by both IEC and the St. Louis Electrical Board at least once every code cycle.
