AMF "Safety Bag" Training Program
As a result of our highly successful, widely imitated, Safety Bag Program - AMF has an excellent safety record.
About Safety Bag
When an employee is hired, he/she is issued a “safety bag” containing the necessary personal protection equipment to keep him/her safe on the job. In addition, we regularly offer safety training courses to keep employee’s awareness high and accident rates low. We abide by, if not exceed, all OSHA standards while on the job site. We have continued to provide new ways to improve safety to our employees by providing them with the correct tools and educating them to the fullest.
To AMF, training and education are an investment with unlimited dividends. Having been a member of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) since the formation of its St. Louis Chapter in 1985, AMF has taken full advantage of the IEC's excellent educational programs. IEC offers both a certified apprenticeship program and a journeyman continuing education program. Over the last 20 years AMF has educated, and continues to educate its employees to remain on the cutting edge of the electrical industry. Some present employees have also become instructors for the IEC Apprenticeship program.
Electrical Safety Training
In addition to formal apprenticeship safey classes, AMF keeps its employees current with the latest NEC code updates by enrolling them in classes offered by both IEC and the St. Louis Electrical Board at least once every code cycle.
We certify all of our employees in OSHA 10 hour, first aid, and CPR training. Our Telco employees also receive RF Awareness training and ComTrain tower rescue training. We also train for OSHA 30 hour & CCCO training.
